About Prajna Tantra
The School of Prajna Tantra was formed through the Temple of Sacred Mysteries (officially)
July, 2005. Prajna Tantra is a new project, however many of the offerings we have been sharing
through other avenues for some time. We feel that there is a need in this world for the ancient
knowledge contained in Tantra, and other "Great Traditions" from around the world. We are
dedicated to sharing that knowledge and making it available to all.
Bliss is your birthright!!!
Prajna is a sanskrit word meaning - Inner knowing and wisdom, gained through experience.
Oftentimes Prajna is associated with "feminine" or intuitive wisdom. This word is also
associated with the concept of gnosis.
Tantra is conscious exploration, expansion, and liberation; being aware of your inherently divine
nature and being. Moving all that is around you with consciousness and intention.
Prajna Tantra therefore would be the conscious exploration and expansion of ones personal
universe through awakening an inner- knowing, or gnosis. Knowledge that can be gained through
experience... conscious experience.
Our intention is to share tools, and experiences; honoring the divine in you, and your persuit of
self-exploration and discovery.
Prajna Tantra is currently holding 3 ancient Tantra lineages, as well as 2 ancient western mystery
school lineages.
We honor fully and completely any beliefs and intentions which you hold.
If you are curious as to our basic beliefs, below are our tenants of faith.
Tenants of Faith of the Temple of Sacred Mysteries-
We are all one
We believe in the divine nature of all human beings
Every human has a divine path, which is interwoven, and aligned with all other humans’ divine
path.
The purpose of existence is experiencing being alive, awakening our awareness of our divine
nature, and actualizing our divine path.
Each human is a sacred vessel, and each body is a temple of the soul.
The soul is a complete divinity to itself, and the body it inhabits.
Each individual soul is a part of the overall Universal Divinity, which is the force which set all of
reality in motion (creator), and creates reality as it self-perpetuates.
Each human is both creator, and here to experience creation
Many texts and scriptures are divinely inspired, and are a channeling of divine wisdom and
knowledge.
There is a natural spirituality, this is reflected in the practices of many indigenous peoples from
around the world.
It is humans nature to seek the experience of union with the divine, our individual divinity, union
with other divinities, as well as union with the universal divinity.
The divine feminine principle should be recognized, honored, and empowered; to create a state of
balance and equilibrium in all humanity.
All acts of love and pleasure, that bring joy to the soul, are acts of worship of the divine within.
Our human nature is pure, and all things natural are both sacred, and innocent.
Liberation from Karma is reached when one is in touch with one’s divine path, and alignment
with the Universal Divine Will.
Many truths are held in the practices of Tantra, Sufism, Buddhism, Taoism, and other Pagan
beliefs. The interweaving of these truths can lead one to inner-knowing.
Gnosis, or an inner-knowing, of ones divine path is reached through experience, and through
initiations, whether naturally induced, or intentionally experienced.
